Victoria, in particular Melbourne, copped some pretty wild weather back in April 2008. The next 2 photos show some of the damage the wind had done.

I'm not sure about this one, but I think those were 'dust clouds' that had come from further north-west of the state (Mildura/Mallee region).

Melbourne got some pretty hot weather during summer 2008/2009. This photo was taken in early February 2009 and shows some of the smoke lingering in the sky. From the bushfires up in the North-East of the state.

The day after the previous photo was taken. This one and the next two photos show the eerie orange glow that could be seen from our balcony, from the bushfires up north.

From the bushfires up north. In around half an hour this "glow" would dissappear. Presmuably they must have got some much needed rain up there.

This was taken almost a week after the bushfires that ravaged parts of the state. Smoke can be seen hovering around. From the bushfire near Healesville.
